Dang, it's hot. To pair nicely with this current unearthly heat wave, Ready to Roll is on e-sale!Dive into this Troubleshooters novella set during the part of Navy SEAL training called Hell Week, which includes frequent trips into the very, very cold Pacific Ocean. And yeah, that particular part of training is called "surf torture," and in all honesty, December or heat-wave-steamy-July, I would last all of 4.2 seconds!! But what's that old Romancelandia adage: You don't have to be a SEAL to like reading (or writing!) about SEALs...?! And I really love writing about Navy SEAL BUD/S (Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL) training. It's intense and insane and freaking inspirational. And the story that I tell in Ready to Roll is my all-time personal favorite. To start, one of the BUD/S instructors is Izzy Zanella.

Plus the new crop of SEAL candidates in this book includes an entire boat squad named John. (Yep, SEAL instructors tend to have weird senses of humor!)When Hell Week heats up, the officers of this eight-man boat squad ring out (as many candidates do), leaving behind the enlisted: the small of stature (but lion-hearted) John "Seagull" Livingston, his swim-buddy, Jon "TimeBomb" Jackson, and his nemesis, John "Hans" Schlossman. (Along with two more SEALs nicknamed Q and Doe for obvious reasons.)With Izzy's help (or intentional hindrance?), Boat Squad John slowly makes their way through Hell Week, with all of its many challenges. And Seagull shows his squad-mates and the instructors what it truly means to be part of a team.Ready to Roll is on sale through August 5th!As I was dusting off this book for its e-sale (replacing ancient back matter and an out-of-date author's note), I figured why not also compile a three-in-one: create a special edition ebook of Ready to Roll along with the two stories that immediately precede it, Free Fall and Home Fire Inferno.I don't know about you, but my e-reader library is a hot mess. With the Ready to Roll 3-in-1, this trilogy of stories are in order and easily accessible. (Separately, though, they all have unique covers, which is also nice...)Whatever your organizational preference, dear readers, for this next week, both Ready to Roll and Ready to Roll 3-in-1 (with Free Fall and Home Fire Inferno) are both on sale for the very same low price!
