SEAL Camp $2.99 e-sale !!
To celebrate King's Ransom's audio release, the ebook of SEAL Camp (Tall, Dark & Dangerous book # 12) is on e-sale at the grab-it-now price of $2.99 !HERO: LT Jim “Spaceman” Slade, U.S. Navy SEALHEROINE: Ashley DeWitt, lawyerLOCATION: Sarasota, Florida; San Diego, and San Felipe, CaliforniaTROPES: Frenemies to Lovers, opposites attract, groveling heroes Here's the blurb:
Navy SEAL Lieutenant Jim “Spaceman” Slade’s got a problem. A SEAL Team is only as fast as its slowest member—and right now, thanks to his battered knees—that’s Jim. He reluctantly takes medical leave, but he’s a SEAL, so he spends his “vacation” as an instructor, helping out a former senior chief who runs a camp for SEAL wannabes. But to Jim’s shock, he finds himself falling for the one woman attending the camp session—an obviously brilliant but seemingly timid lawyer who is determined to do everything her way, no matter how wrong.
Ashley DeWitt’s got a problem, too. She’s a kickass lawyer, but when it comes to her personal life, she’s a total pushover. When she finds herself hiding behind her condo Dumpster to avoid a confrontation with an ex, she decides enough is enough and signs up for a session at a camp called SEAL World, in hopes she’ll discover how to be more assertive outside of the courtroom. And then she’s assigned to Jim’s team…
When an alpha male—smart, funny, strong, but terrified of a future trapped behind a desk—collides with a smart, funny, and quietly strong woman with a troubled past, sparks fly hot and fast.
The tall, dark, and dangerous Navy SEALs of Team Ten are back—with Suzanne Brockmann’s signature blend of love, laughter, and a hint of danger in SEAL Camp.LinksLinksLinksLinks

RECOMMENDED READS
Rom-com fans! Red Alert !! !! !!I just read the most delightful installment in new author Adele Buck's Center Stage series: Method Acting!A few months ago, I'd read and really enjoyed Acting Up, the first book in this theatre-world-set series, and I loved book #2, Method Acting, even more!Charming, witty, delightful--truly an excellent rom-com! Method Acting is set in DC, a location that Adele Buck clearly knows well and loves dearly. I was so invested in this book, and connected to main characters, Alicia and Colin. I loved this book completely!!
Here's my official sound-bite quote: Red Alert, rom-com fans! Method Acting is a real treat! Adele Buck's delightful Center Stage series just keeps getting better and better!And... this series is only loosely connected--each book fully stands alone! But if you want to start at the beginning, here's what I said about Acting Up: "There's nothing like joining a found-family, inclusive community of like-minded and quirky people to create live theatre, and Adele Buck's Acting Up, the first book in her Center Stage series, captures the very essence--the warmth and heart--of that world in this charming friends-to-lovers story. I can't wait for more!"Both books are currently priced at a try-this-new-author price of $2.99 !!Here's the blurb for Method Acting:
All the world’s a stage until your heart is on the line.
All Alicia Johnson has ever wanted is to be able to slip into someone else’s life, clothing, and makeup to become a murderess, a socialite, a mother, or a nurse for an episode or a season. And she’s good at it.
Being an actress comes with a healthy dose of financial insecurity and a willingness to live out of two jammed suitcases, ready to go wherever the next director wants her. Up until now, it’s been worth it for the creative escape and the thrill of applause.
All Colin St. Cyr has ever wanted is to win, going all-in to get Congress to see things his clients’ way. Despite being a Brit in Washington, D.C., he is well off, well connected…and well on his way to becoming a boring bachelor forevermore after a heinous breakup.
Especially as he’s just made an arse of himself with the first woman who has knocked him sideways in years. It won’t matter how much money he donates to the theater; Alicia Johnson is still going to look at him like a goddess looks at a flea.
The only thing he can do is use his highly attuned persuasive skills to talk her into giving him a second chance.
The stage is set, but by the final act, is it a love story between the provocative actress and the cultured power-player or will it end in tragedy?
ANDSuspense and Thriller fans! Heads up for you, too!
One of my all-time favorite authors, Victoria Helen Stone, has a new book out!The Last One Home is an excellent, fast-paced, exciting read! Filled with complex and complicated women, The Last One Home goes onto my long list of favorites from Victoria Helen Stone.VHS is the author of Jane Doe, which, with its sequel Problem Child, is on a very, very short list with my most favorite books of all time. They are certainly two very good reasons why I survived from November 2016 through January 2021.I just exchanged a series of tweets with the author (social media can have its downside, but the upside is definitely being able to have conversations with one's fav authors!!) which went like this:
Victoria: It's release day for THE LAST ONE HOME, so I put on a sparkly shirt!!! Hope you all enjoy a little trip back to 1985 with me in this book.Me (in all caps, retweeting VHS's above tweet ): I LOVE THIS BOOK!!
Victoria: Eeeee! Thank you, Suz!!! I'm so glad you liked it.
Me: LOVED it. Let's be clear. The structure (of the book) is a thing of beauty so my writer's brain was continuously delighted. I connected to the characters and plot with my heart and soul. So yeah. A typical VHS reading experience. Eleven stars!
Victoria (retweets my last tweet): An ELEVEN STAR review from @SuzBrockmann!
Me: I loved so many things about this book. And I confess I went in a *little* grumbly about the fact that it wasn't part of the Jane Doe series. (Because I love those books so much!) That grumpiness vanished in just a few pages as I fell into THE LAST ONE HOME's rich, vibrant world!
THE LAST ONE HOME tells the parallel stories of a mother-to-be (set in 1985) and her grown-up daughter (set in the present day), and it really is a thrill-ride, page-turner! Definitely, definitely eleven stars!
Here's the blurb for The Last One Home:
A razor-sharp novel of suspense about the lies families tell—and those we choose to believe—by the Amazon Charts bestselling author of Jane Doe.
Lauren Abrams wants nothing to do with her damaged mother, whose spurious testimony sent Lauren’s father to prison for murder years ago. After a serial killer’s confession to the crime restored justice, Lauren chose to live with her father and grandmother. Now an adult, Lauren has come home to the Sacramento family estate for good, her mother’s lies be damned…
It’s been decades since Donna made her cheating boyfriend pay, but she hasn’t forgotten the past. She knows her estranged daughter has made a terrible mistake by returning to the estate. There’s more to the story of the welcoming old homestead—and her childhood—than Lauren knows.
As Lauren settles in, she is haunted by the questions of what really happened with her father, what her mother might be hiding, and what secrets the family ranch holds. It’s getting so dark, Lauren may not be able to see the truth to save her life.

I'm expecting side effects, since I had them from the first shot! But I love knowing I'm vaccinated!!) I'm fewer than two weeks away from hugging my parents and my daughter!! YAY!
