Reminder: The Kickstarter for Jason's upcoming rom-com movie, Analysis Paralysis, is still going strong! Although we've met our "goal," every additional penny we raise will go toward making a better movie. (And a big THANK YOU to everyone who has participated!!)Kickstarter is a crowd-funding site, where "backers" get "rewards" for helping to fund indie movies like Analysis Paralysis.One of the rewards for backing AP is the opportunity for readers to beta-read my next book. Although the title's TBA, this novel-length book with a Navy SEAL hero is gonna be my next installment in my long-on-hold "Tall, Dark & Dangerous" series about Navy SEAL Team Ten.Beta-Readers will get a chance to read my first presentable draft--the same draft that goes out to my long-time readers like Ed and my mom and my friends Deede and Scott. If the Kickstarter Beta-Readers want, they can respond via email conversation to a list of my questions (Qs like what worked for you in the story, what didn't work for you, which secondary character most intrigued you, etc.) and even help me by pointing out typos and mistakes! And yes, there is a certain Tom-Sawyer's-Fence quality to this "reward," but each Beta-Reader does only what she/he wants!After the beta-read, I'll revise the book and then send it off to my trusted copy editor; and after that I'll do one more revision before self-pubbing it via both ebook and print-on-demand, probably some time in late January, early February 2018.The expected beta-read date is December or early January, although if I finish it before then, you'll get it sooner!Readers also have the opportunity to help fund this movie and get a signed book reward (in addition to having your name listed in the movie's end credits)!You can also get a (signed!) DVD of Analysis Paralysis, the movie that Jason is making! DVDs are fast becoming obsolete as more indie movies go "direct to streaming." So if/when AP gets distribution, it's highly unlikely that the distributor will release it in on DVD. (But you can help fund the movie, and get a collector's edition DVD through our Kickstarter campaign!)There're lots of cool rewards, so check 'em out over at Kickstarter! (Heads up! The beta-read-only reward is limited and it's close to running out!)
