Happy Almost Halloween!!
I was just in Chicago, where my indie rom-com, Analysis Paralysis, screened at the Reeling: Chicago film festival. Out of Body, a Halloween-set contemporary romance with paranormal elements, we were joined by the two charming leading men of Analysis Paralysis, Jason T. Gaffney (AKA my amazing son, who is also the writer/director/producer of this film!) and his co-star, the incredibly funny and sexy Kevin Held.
Jason and Kevin have narrated the audiobook of Out of Body (coming out on 10/16/18, just in time for Halloween, from Blackstone Audio!), and will also be playing this story's two romantic heroes, Henry and Malcolm, in the movie version that we'll be filming in a few short months. It was fun talking with Sonali, Jason, and Kevin about Out of Body from the perspectives of both writers and actors/readers.In our interview, we talked about the fact that not only do Jason and Kevin do the dual-narrator audiobook thing where Jason reads all of the scenes from Henry's point of view, and Kevin reads all of the scenes from Mal's point of view, but the guys also stay in character for any and all dialogue.
So when Malcolm speaks, even in the scenes from Henry's point of view, Kevin jumps in with Mal's lines.
