News from Suz Brockmannwww.SuzanneBrockmann.comFebruary 19, 2020

Hey, longtime readers and friends! It's been a rough coupla months, but I'm going to hit you with some good news.I've started writing again. After a long, long, LONG dry spell and lots of life getting in the way, I'm finally on track to finish writing the 13th installment in my Tall, Dark & Dangerous Navy SEAL series, Tasha Francisco and Thomas King's book, King's Ransom. It'll be a while before it's available, because I'm writing rather slowly, but I am writing. (So I'll take it!)Over the past few months (years, actually, eek!), even though I haven't been getting much romance novel writing done, I've continued to help produce LGBTQ indie movies with my son Jason and his husband Matt. We're almost finished with post-production for our indie rom-com, Out of Body--I co-wrote the screenplay of this one, with Jason. We're on the verge of entering it in film festivals! Yay! More news about that coming soon! But the news I really want to share with you is that we're already in pre-production for our next project, a streaming comedy TV series called MARRIAGE OF INCONVENIENCE.Here's the logline:New names, new jobs, new lives, new husbands...? Two gay men entering a witness protection program find themselves “married” to help hide their identities from the dangerous people who want them dead. An Odd Couple for the 2020s. About Marriage of Inconvenience:

  • Written by Jason T. Gaffney and Ed Gaffney

  • Directed by Jason T. Gaffney

  • Starring Jason T. Gaffney and David Allen Singletary

  • Season One: Six (6) twenty-minute episodes

  • Produced by My Pet Hippo Productions

  • To be released as a Dekkoo Original Series in late 2020/early 2021

  • Production starts: April 2020

  • My Pet Hippo/small or LARGE Previous Projects: The Perfect Wedding (2012), Analysis Paralysis (2018), Out of Body (2020)

Once again, I'm helping to produce this LGBTQ indie project on an extremely tight budget, and we’re crowdfunding via Kickstarter to help us get it done! We’ve created quite a few fun rewards—a blooper/deleted scenes reel not just for MARRIAGE OF INCONVENIENCE, but for ANALYSIS PARALYSIS and OUT OF BODY, too; a chance to beta-view and give feedback to an unfinished “draft” of the entire series; and a personal video TY-message from our two stars, Jason and David.I've also contributed some book "rewards" for readers, including signed paperback books, and collections of the e-books I've reissued or published under my Suzanne Brockmann Books imprint.$20 will get you a 5-ebook collection--your choice of titles from my Suzanne Brockmann Books list, as well as your choice of ePub or MOBI file formats.$95 gets you all twenty-one of my self-published ebooks in the file format (ePub or MOBI) of your choice. (That's actually quite a deal! It includes fun, annotated editions of my very first books.)And here's the extra cool thing: There's no ebookseller taking a big cut of those two ebook rewards--just a small Kickstarter fee. Aside from that, every penny from both of those rewards will directly support Marriage of InconvenienceFind out more at: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/suzannebrockmann/marriage-of-inconvenience(or go to Kickstarter and search for "Suzanne Brockmann Marriage of Inconvenience!"

Here’s the blurb for Marriage of Inconvenience:

Franklin (David Allen Singletary) is an even-tempered English professor who prides himself on his attention to detail in every area of his carefully structured life. Owen (Jason T. Gaffney) is a street-smart dropout with anger issues, forced into a life of crime against his will. About the only thing Franklin and Owen have in common is that they’re gay.Until they end up living together in the witness protection program, with the new identities of Mr. and Mr. Fulton. Now they have something else in common: they can’t stand each other. Marriage of Inconvenience. For better, or worse. Way worse.
