News from Suzanne Brockmann
Captain's Log, Stardate: 2017 12 16I've always wanted to start a newsletter like that!! Thank you, dear readers, for indulging me.Seasons Greetings! And Happy Anniversary to Jules and Robin, who celebrated their 10th just yesterday! Imagine that! We live in an America that views Jules and Robin's love (and Alyssa and Sam's--hello, right...?) as equal to Tom and Kelly's or Izzy and Eden's. (Let's keep it that way!)So happy and merry and joyous and ho-ho-ho!Be sure to take a little time this holiday season to stop and take a breath. (If your stress levels are like mine, take at least ten breaths!)
I've *just* reissued annotated editions of my Troubleshooters e-shorts, When Tony Met Adam and Beginnings and Ends. And now that I've got the rights back, I'm finally able to release a print-on-demand 2-in-1 collection--plus I've thrown in a bonus Navy SEAL short story called Murphy's Law that was epubbed for a very short time back in 2001. Which makes that collection a 3-in-1!So here's how it all shakes down:1) all of these reissued shorts have new covers, but they're clearly marked as reissues on the e-seller sites. (When rights revert to authors, we don't get the rights to the old cover art, so new covers are necessary.)2) there are e-singles of each story, as well as an e-collection 3-in-13) print-only readers can finally get these shorts in a POD (print on demand) collection 3-in-14) all editions are annotated by "the author," which is a fancy way of saying "me."
Here's the pricing (and links to my website to read the blurbs):a) $3.99 3-in-1 annotated e-collection: Beginnings and Ends & When Tony Met Adam plus Murphy's Law (Combined stories are ~38K words, plus 200 linked annotations)b) $12.99 3-in-1 annotated print collection: Beginnings and Ends & When Tony Met Adam plus Murphy's Law (190 pages includes 200 end notes) (Coming soon! POD can be pricey, but the trade-size paperbacks are quite lovely!)c) $2.99 annotated e-single: Beginnings and Ends (~12K words or ~60 pages with ~50 linked annotations)d) $2.99 annotated e-single: When Tony Met Adam (~19K words or ~80 pages with 100 linked annotations)e) $.99 annotated e-single: Murphy's Law (~7500 words or ~20 pages with ~50 linked annotations)
Right about now, most of you are going "Murphy's Law...?! What's Murphy's Law...?!"It's a very short Navy SEAL story that I wrote back in late 2000/early 2001. It was available only in an e-published PDF for a very short time by an e-publisher who almost immediately closed their doors in 2002, falling onto their fainting couch and declaring that "Nope, those newfangled ebook thingies will never sell!" Murphy's Law was, in fact, the very first short I ever tried to write (yup, tried is the keyword!), and it was part of a publisher-organized collection of romance stories based on the seven deadly sins. (<sigh> That was really hard to write. I talk about that extensively in my annotations!)Here are the various links to the various e-booksellers. (Some of the links aren't yet live, but they're coming soon. Also, please note that print-on-demand editions always take a tad longer to prepare than e-book editions. So for those of you who are print-only readers, I promise I'll send out another quick blast when the print edition is ready to go. But it's coming! I promise!)

One (almost) last thing:
I stumbled across a $1.99 e-flash-sale for Taylor's Temptation, #10 in my Tall, Dark & Dangerous series about Navy SEAL Team Ten. It's timely, because I'm currently writing (hahahaha2017hahahaha!) a book that's tentatively titled Operation: Ashley, that features two characters who appear in Taylor's Temptation. Taylor's Temptation features Navy SEAL Chief Bobby Taylor who gets romantically entangled with a strong, take-charge, kick-ass woman named Colleen Skelly--who also happens to be the sister of Bobby's Navy SEAL bestie, Wes. (Wes "don't mess with my sister!!" Skelly has quite the temper, too...)Colleen has a roommate named Ashley DeWitt, and Ash is the heroine of this next book that I'm working on (hahahaha2017hahahaha). A SEAL lieutenant named Jim "Spaceman" Slade also puts in a brief appearance in Taylor's Temptation, and he's the hero of O:A. (And yes, Ashley's little brother Clark and his college roommate Kenneth also return in O:A.)Anyway, you can get a peek at them all in TT, which, as I mentioned is on e-sale from Harlequin/Silhouette for $1.99. (And this time I checked, international readers! It also appears to be on e-sale in Canada and the UK. I'm not sure about Austrailia... Apologies that I didn't realize that the publisher's flash-sale of All Through the Night didn't extend beyond the US!)Here are the links for Taylor's Temptation:

One (really) last thing:My all-time favorite holiday song is the version of "Deck the Halls" that the amazing Jack Gravina scored for JOLLY, the very first indie movie that my production company, small or LARGE Productions, ever made, back in late 2008/early 2009.JOLLY is a mockumentary, starring Jason and my friend Eric Ruben. It's set during the holiday season, and it's both funny and sweet. (But it does have quite a bit of f-bomb-droppage, even though it's otherwise family-friendly.)We're working right now to get JOLLY up online in a place where it can be streamed, because very few people have seen it, and we'd love to share it. (It played in a few festivals.) (Fingers crossed that we can get it to you this holiday season!)Here's the YouTube link to the trailer where you can hear Jack's kick-ass (and really romantic!) "Deck the Halls."Happy and merry! Also a reminder: Another movie I helped write and produce, The Perfect Wedding, is also set during the holidays. It's a family friendly rom-com, currently available for streaming on Hulu! (Jack Gravina scored that movie, too!)
As always, thank you so much for your time and attention! Please feel free to email, blog, post, tweet, and/or share any or all of my news with your social circle! In fact, I appreciate it greatly when you do! Thank you so much for your ongoing support! Hang in there, and happy reading! Love,Suz
