Audiobook release, plus an Out of Body flash e-sale!

Happy almost-Halloween!

If you're like me, most scary movies and books are too scary! I prefer my Halloween-set stories to be filled with laughter, love, and happily-ever-afters! If you want to get into the Halloween spirit without needing to doublecheck that your windows are tightly locked, my latest Halloween-set rom-com release, Out of Body, is officially available today (10/16/18) in all audio formats! To celebrate this book-of-my-heart's audio release from Blackstone Audio, I'm also having a $2.99 flash sale for the ebook edition!!

Here are the details about the audio release and flash e-sale, plus some other news:

1) Out of Body is out in all audio formats today (CD, MP3, download), from Blackstone Audio! This friends-to-lovers rom-com is narrated by Kevin Held and Jason T. Gaffney (AKA my son Jason!!), the two actors who are going to play the story's heroes in the currently-in-pre-production indie movie of Out of Body. Also...? We've done something a little bit different with this audiobook...(So! Much! Fun!)Instead of Kevin simply and only reading the scenes from Malcolm's point of view, and Jason simply and only reading Henry's scenes, our two actors jump in with their character's dialog whenever their character speaks. So every conversation that our two heroes have is done in more of a radio-show format, and it really crackles and pops!

2) The e-book edition of Out of Body is on e-sale for $2.99! It's a flash sale, ending Wednesday night, so grab it fast!

Out of Body is also available in print, for those who prefer paperback books, from Amazon and BN:

3) In case you missed it, here's the link to Sonali Dev's fun "Lit with Love" video interview with Out of Body's two audiobook narrators, Jason and Kevin, and me, from our whirlwind visit to Chicago last month. Our live-streamed conversation has been archived on YouTube, and you can watch it here: https://youtu.be/QwBg3S7F_t4  (or go to YouTube and search for "Lit with Love Brockmann")Or watch the interview at the Author's Voice website: http://authorsvoice.net/event/lit-with-love-suzanne-brockmann-out-of-body/

4) It's not too late to help crowd-fund Out of Body the movie, via IndieGoGo. FYI, this is the only place on the planet you can still get a special, advance, collector's edition DVD of our latest rom-com movie, Analysis Paralysis, prior to its impending release. Analysis Paralysis recently screened--to enormous audience approval--at several truly prestigious film fests, including Cinema Diverse in Palm Springs, and Reeling: Chicago! So if you fall in love with Kevin and Jason's portrayal of Mal and Henry in the audiobook of Out of Body, this is a good way to see them in action in their previous movie AND support LGBTQ cinema!! Heads up, though: our DVD supply is limited!

5) Check out The Bright Side with Kevin and JasonThe audiobook narrators of Out of Body are not only movie stars, they also co-host a popular comedy podcast. As their website explains: "Each week, Jason teaches Kevin about some awful episode of American or world history. All Kevin does is show up." (Note from Suz: OK, that's just not true!!)

"We invite you to join us as we spelunk the depths of humanity's mistakes and mine the fun and hope we find there!"Find out more: http://www.thebrightsidewithkevinandjason.com

6) NOT-A-NEW-BOOK ALERT: Undercover Princess, my RITA award-winning category romance, originally published in 1999 by Silhouette Intimate Moments, is being reissued by Harlequin/Silhouette with the new title, A Holiday Secret. This reissue will be available in ebook on November 12th!  Please don't be fooled by the title change into thinking it's new. To be fair, H/S has actually done a good job marking it as a reissue on the various ebookseller sites, but as we all well know, some readers see a new cover/title and simply click! So I'll say it again: THIS IS A REISSUE! I promise, if I ever start writing for H/S again (insert end-times joke here!!), I will let you know.

#NotANewBook ------------------------------------------>>>BUT... if you haven't yet read Undercover Princess/A Holiday Secret, it's actually a really fun (Rita winning!) holiday romance, set in the late 1990s, with a heroine who is a princess, who pretends to be a nanny for a man whose wife has recently died, leaving him the single dad of a surly teenage daughter and a young son who is coping with his mom's death by pretending to be a dog. (Yup.) It was originally part of the "Royally Wed" H/S cross-line series, where a bunch o' princesses attempt to track down their long-lost (literally stolen from the cradle) brother -- probably so that, you know, he could become rightful king, instead of one of them being queen, have I said CRUSH THE PATRIARCHY AND VOTE AS IF OUR LIVES DEPEND UPON IT yet in this email...?No?Well, there you go!7) Check your registration, and #VoteBlue by mail or absentee ballot (paper!!) if you can!! (You knew that I had to say that, too, right?)8) Last but not least, the blurb for OUT OF BODY, in case you haven't seen it yet...(It's occurred to me that this story also belongs in the "desert island/snowbound/trapped in an elevator" romance trope, so heads up if that's your thing!!)

Friends to lovers, with a supernatural twist…

Henry’s been in love with his best friend Malcolm since college, but after he kisses Mal on Halloween night, things go desperately wrong. Awkward turns to just plain weird when Mal mysteriously vanishes.

And weird gets freaky when Henry starts to wonder if he’s being haunted by Mal’s ghost.

Henry’s other friends think he’s losing it—that Mal’s just run from conflict. But freaky turns to full-on crazy when, with the help of a “spirit guide,” Henry casts a spell that allows him—and only him—to see and hear Malcolm, who’s been right there, in his house, the entire time.

If Mal really is a “lingering spirit,” he won’t “move on” until he completes some undetermined “unfinished business.” And Mal—who’s been in love with Henry since forever, too—assumes his task is to help his best friend woo and fall in love with another man.

But sometimes things aren’t what they seem, being invisible doesn’t always mean you’re dead, and love really can conquer all…

Suzanne Brockmann is back with a stand-alone romantic comedy that’s soon to be a feature film starring Jason T. Gaffney and Kevin Held. (50,000 words or 200 pages)
