Just a quick note to say that I got an email this morning from BookBub announcing the 99 cent (for US readers only, I think…?) e-book sale of a 2-in-1 of a pair of my older Silhouette titles, and I wanted to pass that price-busting news on to you.
This 2-in-1 was (frustratingly!! Why does the publisher do that?!) re-titled Nowhere to Run, but please don’t be fooled into thinking it’s new. (You’ll know if and when I’ve got a new book out. It’ll be noisy!!)
Nowhere to Run is an anthology packaging of Not Without Risk and A Man to Die For, my two-book “St. Simone Florida” rom-suspense series. These were both pubbed early in my career, waaaay back in 1995. They were, in fact, my fourth and fifth published books. So yeah, they’re early-Brockmann, and damn was I young!! (I wonder if you can figure out which part of my writing style/voice was ruthlessly edited out of these books, because I’d yet to learn how to stand up to an editor and say, “No, I really did mean to write exactly like that and here’s why it needs to stay…”)
What else can I tell you…? This series is also known over on Goodreads as my “Undercover Cop” series. It features police detective James Keegan and his partner Felipe Salazar. The heroine of Jim’s book is school teacher Emily Marshall who finds herself on the run after she overhears info about a drug deal. Felipe’s book pairs him with marine biologist Carrie Brooks, who manages to blow his cover at an inopportune time…
