News from Suzanne Brockmann

The holidays are in full swing, and I know everyone's crazy-busy, but I have two brief announcements:

1) JOLLY (a mockumentary) my very, very first indie movie, filmed in 2008, is available for streaming (free!!) on Amazon Prime. For those who don't have Prime, it's also available via Amazon-on-Demand at a low-priced HD rental of $1.99, or a $4.99 HD purchase. (SD options available, too!)JOLLY is a Christmas movie, but heads up, kinda like Bad Santa, there's quite a bit of f-bomb droppage in it!!It stars our very own Jason T. Gaffney (aka my adorable son), and the insanely funny Eric Ruben. If you came to one of my book-signings in the height of the Troubleshooters series's hey-day in the mid-two-thousandsies, you met Eric! Tall, Dark & Funny -- a lot like Tall, Dark & Dangerous, only even better! :-)I'm in the movie, too! I'm "Lady on the beach with Camera," at the very end of the film! (You will recognize me from my "Barack the Vote!" tank top! Which I wore every single day in 2008, even after the election!) Even our dogs, Dexter and Little Joe have a cameo in the film!Despite the salty language, JOLLY is funny and sweet. Here's the blurb:

Andy Silverman (Eric Ruben), a middle-aged Jewish man, is having a miserable holiday season, as he battles cancer and depression.  But a film student’s documentary, an unlikely scheme to help an impoverished family, an overprotective sister, and an ill-fitting Santa suit turn Andy’s December into one he’ll never forget.

Starring: Jason T. Gaffney, Eric Ruben, Leslie Woodies, Sylvia Batey Alcala

Runtime: 1 hour, 18 minutes

(2009)

JOLLY is closed-captioned, with music by (and an on-screen appearance from) Jack Gravina.

(In The Perfect Wedding, there's a scene where the characters discuss All Through the Night!)
