The audiobook of SEAL Camp will be available soon!
Well, soon-ish, dear readers. According to the Internets, the audio edition of my 12th installment in my Tall, Dark & Dangerous series about Navy SEAL Team ten will be available on 9/11/18, in digital download and in CD and MP3--for those of you who still like to be able to hold your audiobooks in your hand!I could wax poetic about "Just blink, and the summer will be over!" but September is two long, hot months away, and I hope you'll spend that time fiercely and furiously making noise and protest signs and marching and rising up. (And registering, and rechecking, repeatedly, that you're still registered to vote!!)
Instead, I'll simply point out that 9/11/18 is relatively soon, considering that SEAL Camp needs to be read and recorded by everyone's favorite team of audiobook narrators, Patrick "Voice of Izzy Zanella" Lawlor and Melanie Ewbank, and then mixed and produced by the crack team over at Blackstone Audio.It's not as easy to just drop an audiobook out of the blue, the way I did with the ebook and POD editions of SEAL Camp.If right about now, you are going, "Wait, what? Book News:I've got a new romance novel coming soon -- watch for it to drop in ebook and POD in the next few weeks! (And yes, I'll be sending out an enewsletter as soon as it goes live!)It's a really fun one. It's called Out of Body, and it's the rom-com novelization of a screenplay that I wrote, that we're filming in mid-September, starring Jason T. Gaffney and Kevin Held, the romantic leads in our not-yet-released rom-com Analysis Paralysis. (Scroll down for a link to the trailer!!) (Side-note: When you're in preproduction for a feature length indie movie, two months passes alarmingly quickly!)But this book was extra fun to write, because it made me think about exactly *how* I write, and how I've always written the book of the movie that's playing in my head. This time it was literal. Except... when I wrote the screenplay, I discovered I was writing the script of the book I was imagining in my head. It felt all very Escher-esque.I'll be sending out news, too, about our Kickstarter to help fund the movie version of Out of Body. There'll be lotta cool rewards, including a chance to beta-read my next (ahem) TDD book.I'm working on that one right now. It'll be TDD # lucky 13, and my working title is... Thomas King's Princess.(Yes, it's Thomas and Tasha's book.)Kinda long for a title, so I'm also eying either just plain King's Princess or mabe King's Ransom. Let me know which one you like best!
